About the Charities

The admins have verified that all of the donations these charities receive will primarily go to the groups they serve.

Simple Needs GA

Simple Needs GA is an agency that provides certain needs for those experiencing homelessness, children, and others in need. While agencies focused on these vulnerable populations are doing great work, most focus on the basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and job training. SNGA seeks to “fill in the cracks” by meeting other unmet, but important, needs. Through these simple acts, they help connect people with the services that can improve their lives.

Feed Marietta, Inc.

Feed Marietta organizes donations of non-perishables and food boxes, receives donations including gifts in kind/fresh fruit from supermarkets or individuals, and collects financial resources to purchase foods and other essential items that are not donated in order to better serve our families. Feed Marietta is also helping to fund some student-led projects to provide other beneficial goods to these families, such as health products and learning tools. Their mission is to meet needs not currently met by other ministries in Marietta, specifically by providing food and other essential items to families and individuals with food Insecurity in the Marietta City School district.

Feed Marietta, Inc. was developed in the wake of the public health crisis created by the COVID-19 epidemic. For many years, MUST Neighborhood Pantries played a pivotal role in meeting hunger needs by creating Pantries in School Districts throughout Cobb County GA. Since 2016, the MUST Neighborhood Pantry at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy (MSGA) ran successfully as a partnership between MUST Ministries, Marietta City Schools (MCS) district, and Volunteer Coordinators who provided volunteerism and coordinated donations to serve about 35 families a month at the monthly shopping-concept pantry. With the onset of the COVID-19 public health crisis, food distribution changed dramatically as other pantries in the MCS district were not accessible due to school closure- the MSGA Pantry transformed into a food distribution concept serving up to 250 families and over 1000 individuals per week.
